UWC BIH Selection 2024

The UWC BiH selection consists of two rounds

First round:

After receiving the application, the committee members check whether the conditions have been met.

All candidates who meet the conditions of the competition will be invited to take part in simultaneous testing in one of the 3 cities across BiH (Sarajevo, Mostar, Banja Luka), which will take place in mid-February 2024.

*In case of inability of holding tests in cities throughout BiH, the UWC National Committee of BiH will promptly inform all candidates about changes and alternative solutions.

In the first part of the selection process, the total number of points is determined:

  • Grades from high school (general success) - 30%
  • Entrance exam (literature, mathematics, English, history, general knowledge) – 30%
  • Interview/Group work - 40%

Second round:

After processing the results of the first part, the commission determines the point threshold in accordance with the statistical distribution, on the basis of which the number of students who will be invited to the final selection is determined. The final selection will take place during the weekend of mid March, 2024.

The total number of points in the second and final round is calculated as follows:

  • Interview - 70%
  • Group work – 30%

APPLICATION DEADLINE: 31.1.2024.

Candidates will be informed about the results of the final selection via e-mail.

Given that the academic plan and programme of UWC is in English, the application is in English!

IT IS POSSIBLE TO COMPLETE THE ONLINE APPLICATION FORM ONLY ONCE!

Scanned PDF applications sent to the UWC NC BiH email will NOT BE CONSIDERED AND WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED VALID!

Incomplete applications will not be considered.

All data submitted in the applications is confidential and available to the board itself. UWC NC BiH - UWC National Committee BiH is a body of volunteers, separate from the educational institution of United World College in Mostar.

Your application for UWC scholarships consists of the following steps:

  1. Before opening the online application, we would like to ask you to carefully read the sample application form in PDF in order to familiarise yourself with the structure of the entire application;
  2. All documents that need to be read and filled out with the application are below;
  3. Access the online application form at this link.

ONLINE APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS:

  • After opening the link https://apply.uwc.org, click on REGISTER in the upper right corner
  • On the next page, enter the necessary information and click on CREATE ACCOUNT at the bottom of the page
  • Open the e-mail address you registered with, to which you need to receive EMAIL CONFIRMATION - open the e-mail and click on CONFIRM EMAIL ADDRESS
  • After email verification, click CONTINUE
  • On the next page, click on VIEW PROGRAMS
  • To begin the application process, enter your eligibility profile by clicking FILL OUT ELIGIBILITY PROFILE
  • Complete the ELIGIBILITY questions. Choose the UWC National Committee and NOT the UWC Global Selection Programme for application.
  • Click on SAVE MY PROFILE
  • On the next page, in the lower right corner, you can find a link for UWC BiH scholarships for 2024 (NC Bosnia and Herzegovina Entry 2024).
  • Clicking on MORE will open a window with a call for applications in 2024.
  • Click on APPLY to start the application process.
